Is March 2011 d!!!! OK .. I promised myself to be a bit 'Hardworking' updating my blog.. cox m not doing it according to the track.hee hee.. My 'new year' always start at March..( as I noticed my previous blog ).. New Year always been the busiest months especially on Chinese New Year.. Busy with son new time table, than busy for CNY.. when I used to everything it is March d... hee hee...I think my new year begins in March.. haa haa...

Ok.. This year New year was celebrated at Sandakan.. and it was a rushing trip.. Than School re open, Sunday school re open, Violin class, karate class... and Patrick Altar boy meeting.. so on so on... new home work, new co cum... brass band practice ( preparing for sport day and CNY at Gaya Street )... fuh... Because of too much exposure to the Mr Sun.. my son jadi hitam manis... very tiring month to Patrick... huhuhuhu...

This year CNY.. we are not going back to hubby hometown, we stay at my place ( huahahaha ).. initially, we want to celebrate our CNY eve and 1st day of CNY at Tenom ( my birth town ), we also want to celebrate the CNY mass at St Anthony Church Tenom.... however, after Patrick finished his Altar Boy meeting, he told me he will be on duty on CNY Mass at SHC .. at first he said he will not on duty and he already told one of the older altar boy 'gor gor' ( big brother ) that he will not celebrate CNY in KK.. on the way home, he suddenly said 'I wish I can on duty on the CNY Mass... mmm... never mind la'.. this confession make me and his father felt sorry for him... then, we change our plan.. we decided to let him on duty.. and in other case my parent are excited of us going back to Tenom, cox we had talking about it ages ago.. they surely disappointed of our decision of not going back... so, to satisfied both side, we planned to go back to Tenom earlier... we went back on the 1st Feb, and come back to KK on the CNY eve ( 2nd Feb).. Mum have to cooked early or let say we celebrated an early CNY eve dinner ( duan yuan fan )... Mum has cooked 2 times the exactly same dish for us and the exact nite.. huhuhuhuhu...

Our journey to 10om started at 8 plus a.m., the road is clear cox less of heavy vehicle.. we travel through Tambunan road .. I like the feeling at Gunung Mas which is chilly .. we do stop for half an hour there, and Paul manage to take a nap soundly hee hee.... after the resting , we continue our journey.. we do not stop at Tambunan Nor Kenigau, cox Paul said we will stop by tomorrow when we return to KK.. and went straight to 10om .. I do not remember what time we reached there, but for sure it still early.... My Parent come to show the way, cox I do not remember which lane d... huhuhuhu.. My Father had stayed at 10om since his retirement, doing rubber tapping... and will come back to KK occasionally... my mum still working and will go to 10om only on weekend helping my father or kasih lepas rindu... hee hee... mum oso want to stayed at 10om after her retirement.. when we reach to my father hut ( actually its my grandparents house, but they renovate it to a small house, with electricity and water supply from the waterfall nearby ), we changed clothes and Patrick keep asking his grandmother to teach him how to do rubber tapping.. Mum like the pegawai hutan, teaching us how, then we tried take turn.. hee hee... we went to the waterfall nearby.. the water was so cold... I went to the water in split second, cox I cannot stand the cool.. it felt like my heart stop pumping when am in the water... Paul and Patrick enjoyed it very much... after the waterfall, mum bring us wondering the rubber plantation which belong to my uncle's.. and because of the slippery ground cox of the rain.. Paul kept slipping... pity him.. tidak biasa bah... hee hee... we went back to the house and bath... mum, busy preparing the dinner and I help a little ( washing hee hee yg lain tidak pandai... hee hee ) when the cooking is done, we gathered at the table and eat ( of course with Patrick guiding the before meal prayer ) .. my youngest uncle ( mum youngest Bro ) arrive earlier as us.. and he bring his fireworks.. and we enjoying viewing it though it still early for CNY...hee hee... we went to bed early, cox of the driving and kept falling down Paul slept early, Patrcik too... me try to sleep but often awakened, maybe because of new place, new bantal... haa haa... at 1 a.m. I heard mum busy in the kitchen, she was saying about preparing the yong tau fu at the nite before, so I assume she is starting on her yong tau fu then.. so I woke up and help her, my uncle too.. bising bah kami barangkali haa haa... end up mum doing it alone and me and uncle chit chatting... huhuhu.. mum finished around 4 am.. and asked us to take a nap,to gain energy... hee hee... at 6 am my father awake, so do my two precious.. m still malas mau bangun.. haa haa... we pack and went to 10om town for breakie.. cox is CNY eve there was student selling handmade flower to raise fund for their school... we bought to help.. went to Pasar.. many people selling CNY raw food, vege... than we, went to the 'Antenom musseum' situated near the Pasar.. my father bring us to the 'Stesen Janakuasa Hidro Tenom Pangi' to see the nice scenery... and we bid farewell cox we were going back to KK...

On the way back, Paul saw a sign board 'Murut Cultural Centre', and suggested to go there.. and we wondering taking pictures, Paul was amazed with the Big trees that used as pillar, and saying how they manage to find that many.. hee hee.. we stop at Keningau for lunch, and bought things at Cosway keningau... Paul said he want to try to go home through Kimanis road.. and we did it, although there was a small incident happen... hee hee... arrived home.. taking rest.. than get ready to have 'Duan yuan fan' with bro in law n his family at City mall.. and we have' Poon Choi' a traditional Hakka dish.. after the Dinner, we trio went to Tanjung Aru Perdana Park to see the dancing/singing fountain... that was our CNY eve...

On the 1st day of CNY,we woke up around 6 a.m., preparing to the church for CNY mass at 8 a.m. The altar boy asked to come early for final job arrangement.. and we were at church at half past 7... Drum beating was performs before the Mass begin, the Archbishop, Coadjutor and priests was sitting among congregation to see this.. Then, they went back to the Chapel to begin the procession in to the church.. the Homily was talking about 'abortion' and repent.. New year means changing in our self and repent our sins, not by just talking it and not doing it... a Chinese traditional way of worship God was performed.. then, blessing the 'kam' (mandarin orange), the bishops and priest distributing the 'kam' and they were receiving ang pau as well from the people.. A lion Dance performances was held at the Parish Hall... after Mass we went home, and waiting for our bro in law calls.. cox we are visiting them.. My husband have 3 brothers staying at Sabah.. because 3 of them marrying Sabahan's and staying here.. hee hee.. and 3 of them having different religion, but on the 1st CNY early morning, the 3 family have their own place to go for praying.. I guess we are the earliest to finish... and we went to the 3rd bro house ( he is the eldest here ) , giving ang pau to the niece and nephew.. chit chatting then.. we went home... that was our 1st CNY...

2nd day of CNY, we has decided to go to Kudat to stay over, but our bro in law was asking us to have a vegetarian dinner with our youngest bro in law ( he and family is vegetarian ).. then, we planned to go earlier so that we can return KK early too.. Having a breakfast at Tuaran, then we off to the road.. we were going to Tip of Borneo.. one of my friend Jane, mother in law was staying at Kudat... and every year this time she is going back to her MIL place, deep inside my heart m saying will I see her there.. and I am thinking of calling/sms her... but m afraid she is busy to visit relatives.. so I let it be.. when we arrived T o B.. I saw a familiar face, it was Jane husband Mr Chok.. and I saw Jane and the children... haa haa... what a surprise.. cox I just thought of her and here she is in front of me... after sight viewing.. Jane invite us to her MIL house nearby ( I think we passed it when we on the way to T o B ), before that we went for a drink at the resort of T o B treat of Mr Chok ( thanksss ) .. Jane MIL house is surrounded by a coconut trees.. they were doing coconut trees plantation.. we stayed a while than we went to Kudat Town for lunch... after the lunch we heading home, and stop by the roadway to buy local products ( peanuts etc ) .. and went home waiting for call for the dinner.. end up it was canceled... that was our 2nd CNY...

Our 3rd day of CNY was celebrated with Sylvia Voon.. after breakie and so on we went to her place at noon and bringing her out to Suria Sabah.. just for jalan2 and catch up.. the day after was Sunday, what a pity only 6 altar boys show up including Patrick and it was Archbishop Lee doing the Mass cox Coadjutor Wong was going back to hometown for CNY.. Patrick was asked to do the bell ringing during Eucharistic which excite him.. but mummy afraid of he will done wrong not following others.. hee hee... Jesus is holding his hand I think ( and I always believe ) and he done it nicely... one of the parents said 'your son is very lucky, cox they only let form 1 altar boys to do the bell ringing..and he doing it very good.. hee hee..( m so proud :p).. but in reply I said he was lucky cox not enough altar boy bah ... hee hee.. that was our CNY holidays ...

I'm back with my unfinished 2010 :P:P:P Ok February will be end in few days time.. so many things happen.. Christmas, 2011 New year, Chinese New year, Chap Goh meh ... fuh.. lets start with the Christmas 2010.. Last Christmas, our good friend Ivy was not coming back for the celebration as we do gathered every year on Christmas... Patrick asked me.. 'when are we going to auntie Pui Yee house?', and I answered ' we will not going to auntie Pui Yee place this year, cox auntie Ivy is not coming back'... hee hee..and he replied 'aiyah'.. Our friend Kerk Mei was also asking, and planning to go for shopping for the present exchange.. as we do every year... because of auntie Ivy is not coming back, We also did not gathered huhuhuhu... We went to CMI bukit padang for the Christmas Eve Chinese Mass presided by Coadjutor Archbishop John Wong.. after the Mass we went to City Mall... On the Christmas Day, woke up early, went to SHC for Christmas Chinese Mass, we have Coadjutor Archbishop again.. and this is the second time Patrick served as altar boy.. after the Mass we went to Jalan2.. that was our Christmas...

On the 27th Dec.. it was Archbishop John Lee 46 and Fr Cosmas Lee 34 Presbyteral ordination Anniversary.. The Chinese Community was organizing a Christmas Party and as well as the Anniversary celebration..

On the 30th Dec, we fly to Sandakan with AA early morning, then we boarded a bus to Lahad Datu to attend the Presbyteral ordination of Deacon David Geraman which was celebrated on the next day (31st December 2010) at St Dominic Church.. on the road, me and hubby was looking at the scenery outside... a lot of Palm tree which is for us is like wow banyaknya.. hee hee... when we came closer to Sukau, suddenly we heard a sound of stone throwing and the Bus windshield was cracking!!! the bus driver stopped the bus at the side of the road and calling for backup... huhuhuhu... we were transferred to a mini bus and it take us 5 hours to reach Lahad Datu.. the mini bus permit was only works at the area we stopped and unfortunately there was a JPJ checking so.. we have to wait until the JPJ checkpoint is remove... we stayed at Hotel Silam.. not bad.. and it is situated at the town, which is easy for us to go Jalan2 and cari makan... we ate seafood as dinner.. it was tasty and consider cheap... after Dinner we went back to the Hotel and going to bed early... hee hee... cos very tired of the 5 hours journey..

31st, woke up early... Patrick and my mum having breakfast at the Hotel ( free voucher ) me and hubby went to the town searching good breakie... and we found one.. taste good... after the breakfast, we are getting ready to go to church.. and we had called a taxi to take us there... after the Mass, we called a taxi again to bring us to the Hotel cox we are going back to Sandakan and fly back to KK the next day.. we not even going to the fellowship lunch.. huhuhuhuhu... we booked a bus seat, and guess what? is the same Bus which windshield was broken yesterday.. they fixed it.. cox they was booked by a Catholic woman League from Sandakan to the Celebration... the bus picked us up and bring us to the Church again ( hahahaha ) to pick the Woman League and Sister... Mum and Patrick went to the church again to find food hee hee ( although we have ate a proper meal before we boarded the bus ).. when everybody aboard , we were on the road again... this time with a smooth journey.. at Sandakan we were staying at Tyng Hotel which is far from Sandakan Town.. we planned to rent a car.. but due to the busy NEW Year countdown, the rented car was fully rented :P.. so we called for taxi again... and we went to Ocean King Seafood Restaurant for Dinner.. Tasty and Expensive... hee hee... after the dinner the same taxi came to pick us up.. and we told him ( the taxi driver ) our plan to visit Sepilok next morning... and he offered his self for bringing us to the place.. which is good... fare was set and we went back to the Hotel.. it was a tiring day, we not even have the mood to see the countdown in the TV nor at the outside of the Hotel.. I barely heard fireworks at the Midnight, and said Happy New year to my hubby.. and I doubted if he heard it... hee hee...Zzzzz...
1st Jan.. HAPPY 2011 NEW YEAR... we woke up early again... we went to the shop nearby for breakie.. after breakfast, we went back to the Hotel to pack, cox the taxi driver offer to pick the bags up, when he go to Sepilok to fetch us and direct to the Airport.. around 8 am, the Taxi Pakcik arrived.. and we go to Sepilok.. seeing orang utan been feed, slide show and a very expensive ice cream ( it was tourist price ).. and it still early for the Airport.. we ask the Pakcik driver if we have time to jln2 at town? and we were brought to Pu Ji Shi Temple, to Tanah Merah seafood Bah Kut Teh for lunch... and sightseeing of Sandakan Town.. huhuuhu than we off to the Airport..

it was a rushing journey.. and I do manage to take Pictures.. lets the pictures tell the rest yeah...

wohoo... Patrick 1st holy communion was done 1 month plus ago.. but I still want to share it here... let start with the after the confession... Patrick was asked to come to church for rehearsal 2 days before the actual day... On the rehearsal day, there was full mass rehearsal.. from the procession, 1st reading, 2nd reading, and even gospel reading, collection and the offering.. which Patrick was one of the bearer.. he was doing the wine and water.. which me and his father so worried of.. ( cox b4 the teacher asked him to do the offertory only.. simple and easy ).. the father said that we do not want it happened... huhuhuhu... on the rehearsal so many incident happen... they have to do it twice all over again... On the actual day, the Mass was children Mass ,so all the things mentioned was done by the children...

On 14 November, we were asked to bring our kid to the chapel b4 6.15am.. me and Paul was asked to help to buy curry puff for the fellowship after the mass.. woke up at 5 am, wearing his white trouser white long sleeve... we go to Pasar Besar KK to pick the ordered curry puff and arrive church exactly 6.15am... at the chapel the boys was asked to wear red bow tie and Corsage, the girls to wear the veil and Corsage.. I saw others was helping their children... and my Patrick... eh... hilang...and heard somebody calling his name hoe ping! hoe ping! and saw him was helped by his Sunday school teacher, the teacher is so patient with Patrick through the year in her class, and so fond of him... ei.. I do nothing ni, jealous jua la.. hee hee :P:P... then we take picture in front of the chapel and all the Parent were asked to go inside the church... Every Sunday, we used to sit at the left side of the church entrance, but this time we were asked to sit at the right side... cox the Boys is sitting at the right side and the girl at the left side... and all the family member asked to seat behind them... me and Paul was not used to the seat... macam org yg biasa pakai tangan kanan then kena suruh pakai tangan kiri ni.... hee hee... The Mass begin... everything going well... then the time of offering.. m still worried cox this time Patrick is bearing the real thing wine and water ( me n his father keep asked him to practice at home... using glasses... haa haa... takut pecah bah.. adui.... )... but he doing it steady and safe... fuh!.. ni mama betul2 x confident with his son Ooooo... then, is the receiving bread and wine time ( they asked to taste the bread and wine on the sunday class, cox last year, one of the kid nearly spit out the body of Christ cox not used to the taste of wine.. ).. we busy taking picture although we asked not to cox the church have their own cameraman/ woman... and Patrick turn.. he return to his place and pray... me and his father tahan2 lah air mata... finally our son receiving his 1st holy communion..( if you read my previous post , Patrick used to asked me what is the taste of the bread... and I asked him to wait until his turn... and here we are... ).. after the Mass end... all the children taking group picture with the Coadjutor Archbishop in front the altar.. then went to the Parish Hall for the Certificate giving and fellowship... all the 62 children was treated with KFC, and the parent was eating cake, sandwiches, curry puff... etc... all this was sponsored by the parents as well...

the certificate was presented by Coadjutor Archbishop... cake cutting ... etc... in the middle of this Jane arrived to wish Patrick.. m so touched... thank you very much for the support!.. she was one of the reason Patrick going to the sunday school... at the end of the fellowship the head of Sunday School announced they need an altar boy... nah... pa lagi... c Patrick p la lapor diri... since last sunday (19/12/2010) 3 times sdh c Patrick bertugas... huuhuhuhu... tu cerita d lain hari la... hee hee... ok la.. lets the Pictures tell the rest yeah~~~

1st Confession of Patrick

Patrick is done with his 1st confession last night ( 11/11/2010 )... relief for us and him too..

We arrived church early last night, there are only 1 of Patrick's friend was there... Patrick as usual wondering around the Church... m afraid he will sweating.. so i asked him to follow me to the car.. on De way, another friend of him arrived too... then, they went to the chapel together.. we went in too... and his other classmate arrived after another.. after roll call and take their queue number, they has been asked to sit together without parent companion , although some parent still accompanying their children.. ( cox nervous bah... ).. Patrick seem like x payah la.. m not afraid he said.. hee hee... nervous memang ada jua la tu... when all the 62 of them gather together... fuh, riuhnya.. macam d pasar... the head balik2 lagi suruh diam... sini sana Shh Shh Shh... hee including me... The Penance was begin with a Prayer, a Gospel reading... and a short bible story telling referring to the mural on the chapel wall... they has been asked to kneel down, and the teacher read out the "sin" .. such as ' am I lazy? am I not praying? am I disobedient ? etc... hee hee.. me and Paul bersiku2 lagi when heard yg memang pandai sorang terbuat... hee hee... Patrick oso pandai jeling2 ni... hee hee.. Then Bishop John Wong and Fr Sunny Chung arrived...They heard the prayer of repentance by the Children before they entering the Confession room, so the children no need to do it again while in the room.. the children has been asked to sit as mcm p tingu doktor ni... ( Doctor of SOUL ) according to their queue number... Patrick was no 4/62 credit to come early... he has saying that he want to confess to the Bishop but wish not granted hee hee... he confesses to Rev Fr Sunny.. then later I told him, you seldom have Fr Sunny at SHC, you always have Bishop on Sunday... he said yeah, is OK...

while Patrick on the confession room me and his father waiting outside... we afraid that he will scared... but by the look of the way he entered the room he is so eager ... x rasa takut ni... than he come out.. go to the front facing the altar and do his penance... we saw him read it loud... and his best Sunday school friend Samuel Lo looked at him quietly.. me and husband said the room is so miracle.. a monkey going in and a Rabbit coming out... as I said before, they were so excited and making noise... but after entering the room, everybody coming out so seriously, silently... when we saw Our son doing his Penance.. huhuhu.. there is tears in our eyes...

at home I asked him what is the feeling after the confession? he said mommy I felt fresh ( sa pun x tau pa la maksud dia tu... fresh between him and LORD i think ).. this morning, when he wake up... he said yeah, I cannot wait for the communion Ooh... then he kneel saying good morning Jesus... today, he woke up by himself, take bath lagi Tu... I just want to say my son act different today... I saw a grin from his father... hee hee... i don want to hope it will continuously doing so... I just want to BELIEVE he is changing... Amen!

1st Violin Exam ( Trinity Guildhall examinations Grade 1)

Today ( 10 Nov 2010 ), Patrick has his 1st Grade Violin Exam... He joint the class at age 8.. when he was 7, he always asking to learn Violin... but we afraid of " hangat- hangat tahi ayam" , so we did not enroll him.. but he asked more than 10 times when we pass through the music school.. than the father give up and let him join the class... he never missed the class than ( except that when he has karate upgrading or church event )... anyway, he only practice once a week at home... the teacher ask him to practice 15 minute per day.. tapi jarang dia buat... huhuhuh.... after 2 years learning.. the teacher asked him to enroll for the exam... and here we are.. after all the sweating and campur dgn tears practice... here we are... he was very quiet on the road to the hotel..( which worried me :P ) when i asked him ' are you nervous?' he shake his head... he keep ticking to his Violin while waiting for his turn which to me he looks relax... hohohoho... when he entered the examination room... m mundar mandir inside the waiting room... fuh! punya lama rasanya... finally he is done... result will be send to the school... so tunggu saja la... Give everything to GOD... and receive what ever the result is... :-)... on the way home.. he talk a lot which make his father mad... as my friend Ju said he is releasing his stress.. and I do believe so.. Ok, one is done... tomorrow nite will be the confession day... gambateh son... mommy love you... muah...

hohohoho.. it has been a while am not doing this... Many things happening.. but me and Patrick is Looking forward for this coming event.. which is very important to us.. especially to Patrick.. Yup, he will receiving his very 1st Holy Communion on 14 Nov 2010... and he will do his 1st confession on 11 Nov 2010... the teacher said The Coadjutor Archbishop and Rev Fr Sunny Chung will make the confession... Patrick said he want to confess to the Coadjutor ... hohohoho.... mana2 saja la if me... haa haa.. cox 1st come 1st confess.... take turn bah... x boleh choose ni... they will do this at nite at 7.00 pm but asked to come early for the Penance... at the church Chapel... The Sunday School head said this is the 2nd year they let 10 years old children to do their 1st Holy Communion instead of 11 years old ( I remembered mine was done when m 11 years old ( 1987 ) ) cox the churches asked so... an announcement made that Confirmation will be 1 year delay from 15 years old to 16 years old... which mean Patrick need to attend another 6 years of Sunday School... I have been prevented Patrick to online for this whole week and limited his cartoons watching... although there are unhappy sound and voices he is following :P.. 2 of his classmate at Good Shepherd has done their 1st communion before him.. they are going to the same church (SHC ) but differ Sunday school... BM, BI and BC hee hee... the BM was on June, the BI on last October and BC will be this November la... he keep telling them how envy is he.... haa haa.... bah.. tidak lama lagi bah... The Sunday School give them a Retreat on 7 Nov 2010, preparation for this big event of them... there are 62 children doing this... I bought a book regarding the Eucharist in Chinese... telling the miracle of the Eucharist ... sa mo baca kasi dingar c Patrick ni.. so that he know what is he receiving... this is the cover of the book....

16 July 2010 was Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu Closing of The year for Priest Mass... it was in my must do list... hee hee... The Mass started at 7.30 pm. So I cooked earlier then usual. Patrick school dismiss at 3.00 pm ( actually his co-cum finish at 4.00pm, due to heavy rain lately, the school let the children went home early.. luckily~ ~ ) went to pick him.. let him bath, eat dinner ( awal daripada biasa la )... then wait for his father to come home... Paul affraid of road jam so we went to church (SHC) at 6.00pm.. hee hee... and arrived church around 6.20pm .. not many car... we saw familiar faces ( chinese community ) it was 3 languages mass priorty English... bought church newspaper then we entered the church... huhuhu... x ramai org lagi ni the seat boleh pilih2 lagi ni... the seat we seated every sunday ada org duduk sdh ni... but the front seat was empty ... Ok.. lama lagi ni cox only 6.30pm 1 hour to wait lagi ni... Patrick was wondering around as usual la... helped me to bought the Kapaderian book from Paroki Tuaran... Paul resting his eyes hahahaha... tidur la apa lagi... me reading the newspaper... then I saw Fr. Rayner talking to the congreation...saw Fr. Cosmas Lee.. Fr Tung... Deacon Sunny Chung... Deacon Wiandigool Runsab....Deacon Luta as well..... time passed unrealized.... and the Mass Began... I like to come to this kind of Mass cox all the Priest is here... I told Paul when communion everybody receive Body of christ from the Priest... not like every sunday... 1 ja father hee hee... yg kl boleh semua pun mau father yg kasi sambut... hee hee.... What is the Triduum?

The Triduum is made up of the three days before Easter - Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. It is a single prayer of final preparation where we enter into the redemption of humanity and the salvation of the world made present in the Resurrection of our Lord.

This is the holiest part of the year and makes present the mystery of Jesus passion and death before He rises again.

Holy Thursday - The Mass of the Lord's Supper, it is the celebration of the first Eucharist in the upper room. This is when we have the annual washing of feet. Usually there is no other Mass celebrated on this day. Extra hosts are consecrated and then all of the Blessed Sacrament are taken from the Church and the tabernacle is left open to signify our longing for Christ. We have adoration after this mass as our last act of worship before the sorrow of Good Friday.

Good Friday - Celebration of the Lord's Passion. There is no Mass this day. Usually there are Stations of The Cross and a Communion service. This is when we have veneration of the Cross and the entire Passion of Christ is read by several lectors and the priest.

Easter Vigil - This is the high-point of the Church's year. During this celebration of Christ's death and Resurrection we have the RCIA candidates and elect receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist). The vigil must take place after night falls. It starts with an Easter fire outside of the Church. Then the paschal (Easter) candle is lit and processed into the Church. Then we all share the light of Christ with one another. Afterward, we have the Liturgy of the Word, which will have many readings about the story of God's Salvation history (7 Old Testament and 2 New Testament readings). Then after the homily, we celebrate baptism and confirmation. After this we celebrate the Eucharist. It is a long and absolutely beautiful liturgy with many "smells and bells".

We should prayerfully enter into the coming Holy Week in preparation for Christ's rising from the dead.

Today ( 24th March 2010), me, Paul, Patrick and mom went toSacred Heart Cathedral for Chrism Mass... this is our 1st time ( trio, not including mom) as usual la..... Church was full with people because it was multi language mass ( English, Chinese and Malay )... it felt grand when sawing all the Kota Kinabalu Diocese Priests gathered at the Altar... after the Mass the Archbishop blessed the oil that brought by the congregation... I saw people bringing a liter of Olive oil, Minyak Kapak pun ada.... hee hee... this is our 1st time bah.... not use to it lagi.... still have plenty of chances next time rite... I am planning to bring my Minyak kapak next year haa haa... what is Chrism Mass all about ? I had copied a note from the net and paste it here......

About the Chrism Mass

At the Chrism Mass -- which is usually the largest annual gathering of clergy and faithful most dioceses have -- the priests renew the commitments they made at their ordination. The Mass takes its name from the most eminent of the three holy oils which the bishop commissions for his local church's use over the following year.

While the Oil of the Sick, used for those who seek the anointing, and the Oil of the Catechumens, which is imposed on those preparing for baptism, are simply "blessed," the Sacred Chrism is "consecrated," and all the priests present participate in the latter moment by extending their hands toward the vessel containing it as the bishop says the prayer of consecration.

The Chrism is used at the ordination of priests and bishops, baptisms, confirmations, the consecration of altars and the blessing of churches, where the walls are smeared with it in the shape of the sign of the cross.

As part of the consecration of the Chrism, balsam is poured into the oil, which gives it a sweet smell intended to remind those who encounter it of the "odor of sanctity" to which those people and things who are marked with it, and by extension all of us, are called to strive for.

The Chrism Mass also provides an opportunity the faithful of the diocese to show support for their priests.

I can't remember when was the last time, I am doing The Way Of The Cross... Last night ( 5th Mar ), me, Paul and Patrick went to SHC for the prayer... hee hee... it was Paul & Patrick 1st time la ( blaming myself for not doing the good example since we were married... but never too late rite?) Paul doing fine, Patrick a bit grumpy asking for his PSP, but still participating.... me, trying to feel the pain that Jesus Christ Suffered, and make me a bit emotional, feel so bad by being selfish, saying bad things etc.... Me and Paul is Fasting during this lent season.... not eating meat at all hee hee... don know is it the right way or not... but Paul is not complaining about not eating meat.... O Jesus, O Mary, I am the cause of the great and manifold pains which pierce your loving hearts! Oh, that also my heart would feel and experience at least some of your sufferings! O Mother of Sorrows, let me participate in the sufferings which thou and Thy Son endured for me, and let me experience thy sorrow, that afflicted with thee, I may enjoy thy assistance in the hour of my death.

O Jesus! Whosoever does not take take up his cross and follow Thee, is not worthy of Thee. Behold, I join Thee in the Way of Thy Cross; I will be Thy assistant, following Thy bloody footsteps, that I may come to Thee in eternal life.

Most merciful Jesus! What return shall I make for all the benefits Thou hast bestowed upon me? Behold, I consecrate myself entirely to Thy service. I offer and consecrate to Thee my heart: imprint on it Thy sacred image, never again to be effaced by sin.

From this very moment, I will earnestly strive to reform: nevermore will I sin! Thou, O sole support for the weak, by Thy grace, without which I can do nothing, strengthen me to carry out faithfully this my resolution.

What a fearfully oppressive burden our sins must be to cause Jesus to fall so often! Had He, however, not taken them upon Himself, they would have plunged us into the abyss of Hell.

Most merciful Jesus, I return Thee infinite thanks for not permitting me to continue in sin and to fall, as I have so often deserved, into the depths of Hell. Enkindle in me an earnest desire of amendment; let me never again relapse, but vouchsafe me the grace to persevere in penance to the end of my life.

Jesus is Stripped of His Garments

When our Savior had arrived on Calvary, He was cruelly despoiled of His garments. How painful this must have been because they adhered to His wounded and torn body, and with them parts of His bloody skin were removed! All the wounds of Jesus are renewed. Jesus was despoiled of His garments that He might die possessed of nothing; how happy will I also die after laying aside my former self with all evil desires and sinful inclinations!

Induce me, O Jesus, to lay aside my former self and to be renewed according to Thy will and desire. I will not spare myself, however painful this should be for me: despoiled of things temporal, of my own will, I desire to die, in order to live for Thee forever.

How fretful and impatient, how full of complaints I am!

O Jesus, gracious Lamb of God, I renounce forever my impatience. Crucify, O Lord, my flesh and its concupiscences; scourge, scathe, and punish me in this world, do but spare me in the next. I commit my destiny to Thee, resigning myself to Thy holy will: may it be done in all things!

Last Sunday (7Th Feb), as usual we went to church... at the church's front door, auntie Margaret as every Sunday selling church newspapers ( Catholic Sabah, Herald, Catholic News, Hai Sing Pao etc..) , and me bought 3 newspapers at once... and auntie Margaret said remember to read oooo.... hee hee...

Inside the Church after before mass praying, I started to read Herald's newspaper, at the page 4 I saw a tittle 'Fr Francis Chao Passed Away'.... I am shock !!! and told my mom's the news and didn't realize my voice volume are disturbing others cox I saw people looking at me... I felt sad.. very sad...

Fr Francis Chao was the Priest who doing my Sacrament of Holy Matrimony . When me and Paul decided to get married and my Parent insisted I must get married at church.. We went to the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Balik Pulau and introduced to Fr Francis Chao... Fr Francis helps me a lot during the process.... teaching me, protecting me... and he also the Priest that baptise Paul... the name PAUL was given by him too... he explained the meaning why as well... he has retired since 2003 and stayed at St Anne, Bukit Mertajam until his death,

I have planned to visit him this CNY... huhuhuhuhu... but is too late.... May his soul rest in peace...

God loves you, (Fr. Francis Chao).

God sends holy angels to be with you.

You have lived a long (and full) life.

Is Advent and Confession month...... This year Advent is so meaningful for me and Paul... and genap 1 tahun sdh we go to Church every Sunday... mmmm.... we had done our confession on 3rd Dec nite at Good Shepherd Church.... Relieve sangat la cox lama sdh tidak buat ni.... and we so looking forward for Christmas.... Thanks god that Paul tidak lagi hangat2 tahi ayam regarding his religion (RC)... I am touched with his effort of learning, listening and keeping the god's words... walaupun masih ada kekurangan but he still trying.... Going to church and praying make quarrel less... disagreement less.... and really opened my mind, i am not that desperate sdh mau 2nd BB ni, and I know what is the reason y i can not bare another child anymore..... :-) ( Thanks god for making me realize...)

Hohoho... lama sdh tidak blogging ni... So, let start with the holidays yg baru lepas ni.... hee hee... Husband holidays started on the Saturday... it was last day of Puasa.. p cari pasar ramadan but kurang sdh pilihan ... end up mkn d KKIA Mc Donald then go to Jln2 at Tg Aru Beach 1....Hari Raya pertama was on Sunday... Sunday means mo p Church, Sunday School and Violin Class... Raya pertama was busy with son's activity... and hubby need to work as well for couple of Hours... So stay at home la cleaning the house ETC.....

Raya Kedua, Hubby packing baju ni... bilang mo p stay some where mana2 saja la yg tersampai ni.... mmmm... that day was Deacon Isidore Gilbert Ordination at St Joseph Kiulu... I suggested to go to Kiulu to see the function/ event... it was 12 plus sdh la... sampai sana we ask people selesai sdh? and they said the new priest was blessing the people, hubby want to go to the Church... but i wore a short pant not so appropriate ni.. hee hee... I thought the church d tepi jln mo tingu dari kereta ja bah.... but it is on a hill.... nice view... asal sampai la... we went to Pekan Tamparuli for lunch... then decide where to go.... hubby said to kundasang... so Jln... in the car he said we go to Sandakan..... Huh!!!! Jauh tu... yg tidak di rancang... I start to membebel sdh d belakang kereta ni.... My youngest Bro called, my dog (Fifi) tersangkut di fence.... i start panicking cox we sampai Ranau sdh ni.... keep calling my bro.... luckily, terkeluar jua Fifi sia ni....relief.. we singgah at Teh Sabah... Round2... my bro call again, this time my pet terlepas keluar rumah..... adaadaa... I told hubby we stayed at Ranau saja la.... Sandakan trip need to postpone to next trip, yg ada planning ckit ni.... he said OK... so we head Ranau... dalam hati... susah hati ni... my dog buat ragam ni... then keep persuade hubby... pulang la.. we singgah at Ranau KFC cox my Patrick start sdh bising2 .... after the meal we heading to Kundasang, dekat dgn sign board Perkasa... hubby ask me 'r u sure u want to balik rumah? ' I said yes.... so home we are.... sampai rumah my Fifi still wondering around ... when she saw us... she went inside the house.... sigh... she was scared with the mercun sound, and when we are not around she will panic.... we let her sleep inside the house... she sleep like death yg goncang2 pun dia tidak bangun sdh.... bikin geram pun ada kasian pun ada ni.... so that was our Raya Kedua day.....

Raya Ketiga, Hubby last off day... we woke up early went to Foo Ping for Breakfast..... Patrick said he want to go to City Mall main game.... when we arrived City Mall kedai belum buka lagi but ada sdh org jln2 la.... Hubby said we went some where else.... we come back at noon.... if not mulut Patrick boleh sangkut barang sdh ni...... hee hee.... hubby punya some where else was the Zoo at Lokkawi.... last tym we were there was on the opening..... so this is our 2nd tym.... C Patrick c buk betul following the map.... yg mcm guide ni... keep telling his father what animal is this, is that..... bla bla bla.... yg seronok pula saya nmpk... jeles pun ada hahahaha.... both of them talking saja... inside the car, outside the car.... then terpikir juga if i have a daughter kan bagus.... hee hee..... after the Zoo we went to Api2 Center for lunch and jln2 at wawasan square... then, as promised we went back to City Mall... let Patrick play his game for 1 hour.... me and hubby went to the book store kasi habis masa...... after an hour we go home.... and that was our Raya ketiga end.....

not so excited holidays but ada juga la quality time happen.... yg penting and important ( ha ha ha ha ha ) Patrick enjoyed the holidays.....so do I.... hee hee

I found this book from my collection.. I bought this novel on 97-98, I am Qiong Yao 琼瑶 fan.. I like to read her novel's when I am teenager... As teenager I always borrowed her novel's from the library and the novel are famous.... sometimes I have to 'berebut' ..... I cannot afford to buy hers novel's when I am still a student... hee hee... need to buy other things which is important.... so when I worked I try to buy some for my collection... and i am a reading maniac i can read the same book again and again.... Last Sunday, a friend ( Jane Sim ) asked me what INRI means. Her daughter was having a Sunday school test and asked to find the meaning of INRI in initial and meaning... Unfortunately hee hee.... i do not know the initial and mistaken the meaning :P... so I surf the net and found this....

INRI stands for "Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews." The Latin form is "Iesus Nazarenas Rex Iudaeorum." The first letters of the Latin title result in INRI. The meaning is "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews" which was the title Pilate had placed on the cross of Jesus.

The initials, I.N.R.I., are from the Latin phrase, "Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm," (The Latin "I" and "V" is the English "J" and "U" respectively) which means, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of Jews." This was the phrase Pilate penned and displayed over Jesus on the cross.

Karate-do Belt upgrading ( 26-07-2009) - Yellow

Last Sunday, Patrick has his karate - do upgrading... from White to Yellow.... he has joined karate on Sept 2007 when he was primary 1, until this February 2009 he was a blue belt holder... unfortunately, the Karate school was closed due to renting problem, and move to a Kampung Hall at Tebobon.... mcm jauh ni... and the town had another Karate school, so we enroll him to the other school... the style of this karate are different than the last one.... Patrick have to start from the beginning.... he was so frustrated, and still wear his blue belt when go to training..... the Sensei ( karate teacher ) pun OK saja la.... the teacher has his way to not make the children feel bad of having to start from the basic..... until last sunday.. he wore his white belt again for the upgrading.... don know how la, dia boleh mau pakai the white belt again, cox he berkeras tidak mau change when he is on training... maybe the sensei has their ways to persuade him...

On the day, he keep saying... ' mommy, 'wo pa pa' ( i m afraid)... deep inside my heart, i m worried he cannot do it... so i use la segala kata2 to make him feel comfortable... Then, all the karate students asked to gather for warming up..... maybe of the warming up... he start to feel comfortable, and start sdh nakal dia..... he made it.... lega juga la akhirnya.... Anyway, saya sempat juga la make friend with few parents... I only know Irene and Benedict, the rest tidak sempat tanya... Benedict have 5 children following the class... Irene have 1 daughter who was a white belt holder like Patrick sama2 mau p yellow belt....

The upgrading session start from 9 am and end at 12 noon.... Patrick keep saying he enjoyed the day he want to repeat the day lagi tu..., and looking forward for next upgrading session.... Sabar saja la Patrick.... need to practice lagi la for the green belt.... gambateh....

My husband's 2nd sister pass away this morning (08.07.2009)... I am so shock, it takes me a moment to cried out... blur and blank.. after my hubby called me for the news, my nieces, my eldest bro in law too calling me informing the bad news... I cannot control my tears... so upset, and me start panicking, everything all wrong.. My hubby sound the same too...

She is 50 this year, turning 51 this coming sept. We are close since I entered their family... she look like my mother in law.... when I saw her, it will heal my missing towards my late mother in law. She will call me and jeer me for not calling her. she was not good in mandarin speaking, she always talked in hokkien i answered her mandarin, years pass i learned the dialect, though not fluent but i understand.. i use my broken hokkien to comunicate with her than, no more mandarin... early this year before we went back for CNY, she called me and say how much you 'pao' your ang paw oo... make me so geli hati.. i miss her already.. She was so concern for me for not having 2nd children, and bought me medicine and a lot of advice blah blah... she sound like my mother in law too..

Last May, our eldest sister in law called us, informing that our late sis is having a cancer 3rd stage.. everybody heart broken, my husband and his siblings go back hometown to visit her... according to hubby she look ok and the cancer are controlled... everbody saying that dont worry, she is good and everthing will be fine... but only a few months she left us...

Recently, our England friends keep contacting us... so the phone passing2 la.. after husband then the wife then the son la... they keep asking us to go and visit them.... mm mm budget bah... terfikir jua la sepa tidak kan... ai... tambah2 lagi our son still belajar... so seldom bah cuti.. cuti pun x panjang... 2 weeks ja yg terpanjang... 2 weeks is too short bah.. mo jua stay sana sampai 1 bulan, if not 3 weeks pun bulih la... terlintas jua p sana dis coming December, stay until Christmas... 1 week b 4 school reopen baru balik... chewah... cross fingers... harap2 plan menjadi... if not what to do...

by the way, I surfed the net to see the restaurant that I used to work last tym, to c masih ada ka tu Restaurant YEUNGS CITY BAR & RESTAURANT ... hee hee... masih ada lagi oi... if happen to go there, this is the 1st destination I want to visit... c my Hong Kong boss still the owner ka... and the captain and the Albanian waiter cum bar tender still there ka... Miss them so much... we lost contact sdh bah... I left there almost 9 years ... so many thing change I think... By seeing this 2 pictures, all the memory come to mind, so happy working there... all the waitress and waiter like a family... we so c buk p next door punya sandwich bar beli sandwich bah... puas sdh konon eat the Chinese food... hee hee... in front of this restaurant ada satu pub, i used to go there to buy a cigar for our customer, but this pub banyak sangat smoke... if tym rehat, i like to go to the pub behind the restaurant, just to have sizzling water and french fries... and they have a small library corner.. i like to read the Pictures bah... hahahaha... I told my son, i used to clean the front door of this Restaurant every morning, then a deaf young lady will pass through me every morning to the deaf people association nearby... mula2 teda la tegur sapa... tapi hari2 jumpa, last2 pakai senyum2 la.. cox dia bukan dpt bercakap... do we have the chances to 'talk' to each other? yes, we had once, she came in to the restaurant asking for her lost name tag... she ask by writing of course... There is an underground near this Restaurant called OLD STREET Underground, inside the underground have a bookshop, and the owner is/was an India women, i always buy a house decoration magazine from her shop... every time i buy one she will said are your house deco completed... i smiled and left.... hee hee... setiap kali tu... dia pikir sia pun mute kali mo p sana deaf association ... hee hee... banyak sangat cerita... dui... this is the restaurant view... nothing change, still the Yeungs i used to know, hopefully the owner too....

This year is Paul and Patrick "1st" Palm Sunday... Paul become Catholic since we get married, but seldom go to church and not 'participating' the mass which he always ' catch big fish' when we r in church... lama2 me malas mau p church... then, Patrick only go to church on Christmas with his grandparent...

Last year, 1 of Paul friend come to visit us... Paul when to dinner with him, at the table as usual c Paul saya angkat his chopstick when the dish arrive and want to grab the prawn, his friend suddenly bow and pray... this friend was a religious Buddhist, but become a christian - baptist church after get married too. He practice the life as christian after he become christian... This act surprised Paul and he keep his chopstick away and don know what to do.... hee hee... this is what he told me when he reach home... I think they talk a lots about Christianity that night cox Paul ask me the time table of mass the church near us and say lets go to church this Sunday... due to Patrick Violin lesson we decided to go to Secred Heart Church on that Sunday... my mum mcm not percaya we will go to Church be cox of Paul "reputation" to church last tym and call us next morning to confirm... hee hee... and we did at church... for long2 tym not going to church, i felt so emotional went i entered the Church... Patrick pun so many question... keep asking me why you kneel? why this why that... his father too cam keliru and clumsy... but he is participating this tym , every reading he listened and no more catching fish... hee hee... i am touched.... so we go to church every Sunday. Only couple of months Paul make used to it, no need my guide and my son no more question lagi, cox he is attending Sunday School for sure the teacher already satisfied his question about Christ... when we mkn both of them keep reminding each other to pray - tanda salib walaupun d public...

Anyway, when i busy finding palm leaves cox church was not providing, both of them curious la mo buat pa...on the day, mula2 c Paul malu2 mo bawa... tapi c Patrick dukung ja semua masuk church... when his father saw ramai org angkat2 dia baru comfortable and angkat his... hee hee... I had been busy since the new year eve.... try to use to Patrick primary 3 homework... hee hee... actually, i do not know what i busy La... busy balik kampung husband.... den son test homework so on....

Patrick went to Sunday School at Secred heart this year... New environment, so mummy have to pakai c kit psychology to make him feel comfortable... luckily he no need our companion after two weeks p church... he love Sunday school ( nasib baik lar...) cox looking forward mau 1st Communion, balik2 he ask me what it taste like? i said you will know when you have yours... kl tidak panjang lagi soalan dia bah....

Balik kampung this year pun Patrick yg paling happy cox jumpa kawan2 bapanya yg balik dari UK & Australia, cox gila mau p mandi sungai.. if not he like to stay at home, kl bole x mau p 'Pai nian'... his father pakai tipu temberang baru dia force himself and muka masam la...

The tym past so quickly kan... skrg ni April sdh... mcm2 sdh berlaku.. Patrick 1st test baru selesai rasanya the 2Nd test is coming one more week lagi, then school holidays lagi...

Try to update my blog frequently.... although only 1 child tapi c buk memanjang, housework, picking sending Patrick to his activity, cooking, washing, grocery buying, layaning husband, comforting, teaching c Patrick, if one work count as a job, i think my salaries will reached ribu2 satu bulan.... hahahaha...

My New year eve & the day...

School holidays finally come to end, my Patrick will be primary 3 this year. I 'll miss him so much, because i used to have him at home since the school holidays.... huhuhu..
.....

Anyway, we do enjoy our holidays especially the New year eve and the new year day... On the eve, my cousin Deana and Juliana came to visit with Deana's husband Lowell and Julie BF Daniel a very tall Germany, he has to bow his head when he entered my door.... a short visit but very pleasant.... at the night we go out with Hubby's friend Seng Wah, who come here for work... we have a dinner at GayangSeafood Restaurant.... he do the most talking hee hee... we eat and eat lah... then we rush to town for the countdown.... we went to Sutera Harbour as we did every year, but there are no fireworks only a new year party for the hotel guest... and a lot of belonsss... we can see the firework at the hotel from the Padang Merdeka... asal ada la.... went home almost 2 am sdh.... so tired...

The next day we wake up early... we promise my cousin Deana that we will visit them... we went to Kiulu Tamparuli, my auntie's place ( my Mum's eldest sister)... they are busy harvesting paddy, Patrick say he want to see how people harvest paddy, and want to help as well hee hee... he enjoyed it so much... this is the few pictures i take... see how happy was Patrick... like Burung terlepas dari sangkarnya.....

School holidays past so fast, 9 more days school re open , start busy life again... what has me and pat done during the holidays Ar... mcm nothing except TV and Computer games.... haizzz....

Anyway, we have an ex-classmate gathering at Pui Yee house on the Christmas Eve... Ivy and bong fly back for holidays with Phoebe, Shaun and Shanelle. Kerk Mei bring Valerie and Avianne, this is the 1st tym Ivy saw Avianne since birth hee hee... me of course la bring my giant Patrick hahaha....

we meet at Pui Yee place quarter to 10 am... ivy called she will be late and ask us to mkn 1st, she will be late cox children meragam ( which is biasa la tu )... don know how many minutess later they arrived.. phoebe with her red eyes (bcox of crying b4) and milk bottle, hold my hand climb the stairs.... then so meriah la everybody... watch TV sampai tidak mahu mkn... shanelle feed by Pui Yee, so impress bah pandai betul dia mau mkn... the other hand Samantha excited betul jumpa c Bong.... hee hee... Bong punya turns lagi feed her... we talks, play with each other kids, eat.... then the Christmas cake come out children gather at the table... except Avianne, she fall asleep sdh inside the 'ayunan'( Patrick said he help auntie Mei ayun... )... Mei put the candle... then we sang Christmas song hee hee.... phoebe blow the candle... bong said mcm phoebe pula yg birthday.... hahahahah nvm la bong sepa cepat dia dpt ...... then Pui Yee mum's n sister arrive... mkn2... talks2... sedar 3 o'clock sdh... then berkemas angkat ta pau( hee hee) we balik... dlm kereta Patrick said today is his happiest day.... hahahahaha.... mummy happiest day too....this is some of the pictures we took ( most of the pictures taken by bong... School holidays started 1 week plus ago... me still busy sending and picking Patrick from school... he is rajin sangat doing his brass band ( pancaragam) practice, which will be ending this Friday.. ( cepat2 lar if not feel like no cuti oooo...)

feel funny when my son want to participate in brass band, cox last tym... i felt so tired and exhausted ( which is same )... but luckily he choose drum, which for me easier than mine - trumpet... hee hee... i manage to tangkap video while he practicing.... ini dia... but mcm kelam kabut...

As 1 of the PIBG member i was invited. all the Children was so happy , exited... the talented student are receiving medals or prizes, they performed, and get goodies from sponsored... eat burger as breakfast which are sponsored too... after receiving gifts and goodies they play games until school dismiss.... seronok sangat... i wish I have Children's day last time ... hee hee...Patrick not receiving prize nor performing this time :( , Nvm lar, i said try again next year... tapi dia cam ok saja... tiada rasa mau compete... so biar lar as long as sihat dan gembira..

15 Sept, Patrick's school PIBG are organising a mid autumn festival... and me happen to be the organizer o chair lady lar... chewah... very success said the headmistress :D... Very lemas when selected as the pengerusi penganjur since May... and finally selesai... lega... thanks to my penolong, guru besar and cikgu2 of good shepherd for their support and help, and parents too.. sponsor etc... for making this happen.... so grateful.... deep inside the jantung, tahun depan cari org lain la ya... aku tolong2 ja la.... hee hee...

after 8 years i left England, he finally pay us a visit... short stay but make Patrick gloomy a few days when he go back... a very good friends of Paul since childhood and he take a good care of me when we went to UK on 1998. He was our 3rd England friend's came to visit, after Hua Leng ( his twins bro), and Tek Chai ( twins too ). Hopefully Tek Bao will come to visit after his bro Tek Chai.... hee hee..
